Project Overview
Jan Briddhi Foundation is an impactful NGO based in Assam, India. Since June 2019, they have been empowering children and youth in different ways. Their programs cater to the specific needs of our community, providing education, vocational training, and income generation opportunities. By creating a nurturing environment that fosters growth and opportunity, their ultimate aim is to improve lives and contribute to community development.
The NGO is committed to providing immediate and effective assistance to those in need of blood transfusions. In order to streamline their efforts and reach more people, they have decided to launch a project called the Floating Blood Bank: a network of volunteers who donate blood and provide it to patients in need at the time of requirement. To enhance the effectiveness and reach of this initiative, they have decided to develop a website and mobile app that will act as a platform to connect volunteers with patients and will enable quick and easy communication and coordination between them.
Duration: Start 02 May 2023.
My role: UX/UI designer

Probleme statement
The website and app will act as a platform to connect volunteers with patients and will enable quick and easy communication and coordination between them. They will have a registration system, through which donors can register and provide their contact information and blood group. This information will be used to match donors with patients in need of blood transfusions. Patients and their families can also register on the platform and search for available donors according to their requirements. Additionally, the platform will provide information on blood donation, including the benefits of blood donation, the donation process, and eligibility criteria for donors. Overall, the development of the website and app will provide a simple and efficient way for volunteers and patients to connect and help save lives.
Must have
As I joined the project, we defined the basic needs of the product:
User registration: Users can register as blood donors or patients by providing basic information such as name, contact details, blood group, and location.
Notification system: When a blood donation request is made, registered donors in the same location and with the required blood group should receive a notification.
Blood donation requests: Patients or their families can make a request for blood donation by providing their location, required blood group, and contact details.
Donor profiles: Donors can create a profile where they can manage their donation history, view their blood group, and update their contact information.
Blood bank information: The project will provide information about nearby blood banks, including their location, contact information, and operating hours.
Feedback system: Users can give feedback about the project, blood donation experiences, and other related topics.
Donate Now: A "Donate Now" feature will be added to allow people to donate money to support the initiative and help with the operational expenses of the platform.
These features will help ensure a smooth and efficient process for blood donation requests and help connect donors with those in need of blood.
