For this very personal project, I designed a wedding website for my best friend Hélène and her partner Luis. Working closely with the couple and their wedding planner, the goal was to create a digital experience that not only provided guests with all the practical information they needed, but also reflected the romantic and elegant atmosphere of their Italian wedding. The couple needed a wedding website that would capture the essence of their special day while also serving as a clear, functional guide for guests traveling to Rome. The challenge was balancing a deeply personal design vision with the need for usability and clarity.

Designing this wedding website was a deeply collaborative and personal journey. The soft pink and peach palette became the foundation of the design, inspired by the florals and warm tones of their wedding theme. Every decision was guided by both functionality and feeling: the RSVP form needed to be simple yet graceful, the typography had to feel timeless and romantic, and the overall layout had to make navigating details effortless for guests traveling to Rome. Working so closely with the couple allowed me to infuse the design with details that felt true to their story, turning the website into a digital extension of their love and celebration.

Outcome

The final website perfectly embodied Hélène & Luis’s love story and the atmosphere of their wedding. Guests were able to easily navigate all details, RSVP without issues, and felt warmly welcomed into the couple’s celebration even before arriving in Rome. Both the couple and the wedding planner praised the result for its beauty, functionality, and personal touch.

This project was special to me, as it combined professional design practice with a personal milestone. It highlighted the importance of empathy, close collaboration, and translating emotional themes into digital experiences. The outcome was not just a website, but a heartfelt extension of the wedding itself.
